According to scholar Haig Utidjian, “It is an annual church calendar. Little volumes of this sort are published annually to this day – I have just acquired that published by the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia for the present year. Though much of this material (and more) can be worked out from the two volumes of the Typicon (Tōnac’oyc’).

These splendid little volumes are helpful to church clerks. They indicate conveniently and at a glance all feasts, days of fasting, the mode of the day, the hymns to be sung at Offices, plus additional pertinent special instructions. They even give rather cute bits of information on the weather that may be expected at different times of the year! My copy also lists the names and ranks of all the members of the Cilician Brotherhood, and the contact details of all the dioceses/prelatures under the jurisdiction of the Holy See.”
