Armenian Liturigical Hymnal

DATE
Year: 1838
Decade: 1830s
Century: 19th (1801-1900)

Armenian liturigical hymnal with Hampartsoumian notation. Tsaynkagh Sharagan.

Haig Utidjian, “Yes, clerks would sing from this gathered at a lectern on each side of the church. Tntesean is critical of the neumations reproduced probably in this edition (he mentions “the last Jaynk’ał” and I think it must have been this one!). The same printing house also published at least one portable version (Šarakan jerac’).”
