Bowie Kuhn Correspondence Archive

Century: 20th (1901-2000)
Notes: 1940's-50's

The future Commissioner of baseball was just a college kid when he sent this stack of letters home to his parents, providing an intriguing look at the pre-history of the man who unsuccessfully fought the free agency war begun by Curt Flood.

All are signed “Bowie,” but many include original mailing envelopes signed “B. Kuhn.”
