Bronze Metal Figure
This bronze metal figure was brought out of Iran in 1948 when my mother’s family came to New York City from Tehran. They were told that this figure is a Luristan bronze artwork of a god made in south/east Persia around 1,000 B.C. or around 3,000 years ago.
Small Luristan bronze artworks, usually dated about 1,000 to 650 B.C., reached the outside world from the late 1920s and are now found in museums around the world.
An eclectic assemblage of objects coving a wide range of human history.
