Collection of 13 colonial certificates expedited by friars regarding different matters:

• Certificate of virginity of two unmarried ladies. Veracruz: June 3, 1808. Signed by the friar.
• Certificate that the retired Sargent of the Infantry Regiment of Granada belongs to the parish. Mexico: August 9, 1784.
• Certificate that a widow of a soldier hasn´t married again. Mexico: 1808. Signed by Pedro de Fonte, Archbishop during the Mexican Independence. He was the last Spanish Archbishop in Mexico.
• Certificate that a woman hasn´t been married. Mexico: 1808.
• Certificate that a woman exists (“I bear witness that she exists, because I talked to her and she talked back…”). In sealed paper. San Juan del Rio, Queretaro: 1808.
• Certificate that a woman is still a widow. Parish of Salto del Agua, Mexico: 1808.
• Certificate of virginity. Guadalajara: 1808.
• Certificate that a woman exists and lives with her sister. Mexico: 1808.
• Certificate that a widow exists and has been married again. With a second page attached from the Real Colegio de Mexico, certifying the signature of the friar. With seals. Mexico: 1808.
• Certificate that a widow of a soldier remains unmarried. Mexico: 1798.
• Certificate given to a friar validating that he works for the church. Seal and signatures. Mexico: 1798.
• Certificate that the daughters of a Lieutenant Coronel are virgins. Mexico: 1794.
• Certificate that a woman hasn´t been married. Mexico: 1794.
