NOTES: The volumes on the Kyushu University web site were published in March, 1789 in Kyoto. According to the Kyushu University site, the encyclopedia seems to have been published several times.

Japanese print book of an Encyclopedia with Dutch and Chinese Products and Technologies. This is the fourth volume of the Kinmou Zui, which contains chapters 5 through 8. Original, first edition published as “訓蒙圖彙” in Kanbun 6 寛文6年 (1666), ed. Nakamura Yōsai 中村惕斎 (1629-1702); publisher, Kyūseidō 九皐堂, Kyoto. Kinmo Zui: Revised with Addition. “頭書増補訓蒙圖彙” (“tousho zouho kinmou zui”) 元禄8年 (1695).Kinmou Zui: Revised with Addition and Recompiled “頭書増補訓蒙圖彙大成” 寛政元年 (“tousho zouho Kinmou Zui taisei”) (1789) 刊行.The 1789 volumes were illustrated by Shimokawabe Shusui (active, 1751- ). The cover and the illustrations of this copy look very similar to the Kyushu University volumes.
