CONDITION: Full-leather binding with gilded borders in the covers- worn. Title page with some chipping in the borders and stained. Second plate with some losses in the margins. Some worm tracks in the lower margin from title page-6th plate (not affecting content), last 5 plates (only affecting slightly content of last plate). Occasional foxing dots, generally clean and well preserved plates. Litographic plates by S. Stiles y Co., Nueva York. Very good condition.
NOTES: The atlas must be scarcer than the bible itself, there are 10 complete sets of the bible in institutions versus only four atlas – according to OCLC. (Even stranger it’s that it appears that not one institution has both the bible and atlas).
