Artist Information: Joaquim Teófilo Fernandes Braga (Portuguese pronunciation: [tiˈɔfilu ˈbɾaɡɐ] was a Portuguese writer, playwright, politician and the leader of the Republican Provisional Government after the overthrow of King Manuel II, as well as the second elected president of the First Portuguese Republic, after the resignation of President Manuel de Arriaga. Gomes Freire de Andrade, ComC (27 January 1757, in Vienna – 18 October 1817) was a field marshal and officer of the Portuguese army who served France at the end of his military career.
