Two handwritten documents of William D. Ganzhorn, Justice of the Peace of Graham County, Arizona Territory. 1) Criminal complaint, Territory of Arizona vs. George Peck, dated May 6, 1882. A three-page handwritten document, attached by two pieces of blue ribbon, in the hand of Ganzhorn, in which he recorded the sworn testimony of Sarah Davis, an eyewitness to the shooting of Sergeant John Steubens by Peck. 2) Testimony of Sergeant John Steubens, “about 2 hours after he was shot,” handwritten by Ganzhorn, dated May 6, 1882. Both documents are signed by Ganzhorn. William D. Ganzhorn was the father of Jack Ganzhorn, who wrote the book, I’ve Killed Men: An Epic of Early Arizona, published in New York in 1959.
