Original Japanese woodblock print book set: Guide to Hell and Road to Salvation. There are several fine hand-colored Japanese prints, many of Dantesque scenes of Hell, as well as prints depicting methods of salvation through Buddhism. There is even a rare print of foreigners committing infanticide.

Scholar Natsue Hayward commented, “The author Genshin (Eshin-zōzu) lived 942-1017. This version was probably published much later with woodblock prints but still amazing!!”
