According to scholar Sebouh Aslanian, ” A very important and rare book. This is the editio princeps of Agat‘angelos the history of the conversion of King Tiridates (Trdat) the Great to Christianity by Gregory the Illuminator in 314 CE (traditionally 301CE). It was published in Istanbul in 1709/1710 and had the Letter of Concord appended to it.

According to scholar Ani Yenokyan, “This first edition is titled “Girk Vipasanutyan”. An interesting fact is that it was published by order of Alexander Katholikos from Etchmiadzin, during the years of the struggle of the Apostolic-Catholic Armenians.

This book published in Constantinople by Grigor Marzvaneci in 1709-10. It contains the first publication of Agathangelos, History of St. Gregory and the Conversion of Armenia.”
