Meiji era Japanese board game titled “Cavalry Game” (Kihei Sanshi Kyoso), published by Jiji Shimpo. It is for two players, Red and Green. There are four red and four green flags to be placed at strategic locations on the board. The flags have directions about the movement of the players:
Blocked = 2 Steps Back,
Fell off Horse = 5 Steps Back,
Dropped Sword = 7 Steps Back,
Crossing a River = 10 Steps Back.
