TYPE: Certificate
DIMENSIONS: Approximately 16x12"
CONDITION: An official gold seal is present on the lower left corner. Edge chipping is visible in spots along with one small run.
NOTES: The entire city of San Francisco was in awe of their 49ers following the team's first Super Bowl berth. The leader of the pack, Joe Montana was honored by the city of San Francisco for his contributions with this oversized certificate. The award was presented January 11, 1982, just one day after "The Catch" which allowed the 49ers to unseat Dallas atop the NFC. It was really a changing of the guard as the 49ers were now the team to beat. This originates from a personal friend of Montana's.
