Persian manuscript on paper in black nasta'liq, single column in 16 lines, key words and underlining in red, a few contemporary notes to margins, contemporary inscriptions to front free endpaper. Final leaf inverted, housed in contemporary soft morocco, central medallions and corner-pieces stamped in blind, lightly rubbed spine ends a little worn, 8vo
CONDITION: Final few leaves slightly foxed and some slight worming to margins, otherwise excellent overall condition.

A Legal Treatise from Mughal India. A treatise dealing with the ethical and moral conduct in the law, within the framework of government ruling. It was compiled during the reign of Muhammad Shah (1702-1748), Emperor of Mughal India from 1719 until his death in 1748.
