Military Propaganda Phonograph Records

DATE
Decade: 1940s
Century: 20th (1901-2000)

Japanese Military Propaganda Phonograph Records, with one of the records having superb graphics on both front and back.

On one side is Kintarō (金太郎, often translated as “Golden Boy”), a folk hero from Japanese folklore. The song titles are ‘tsuyoi Nippon Heitai San” (Strong Soldiers of Japan). Other hits include: “I want to be a soldier”; “My Weapon,” etc.

The other record has a song titled, “Children’s Song: My Heavy Bomber” on one side.
