In addition to his athletic skill, personal charisma and ability to create theater, Muhammad Ali was a global celebrity and his brand was greatly compounded by the verve and vigor in which he voiced his anti-establishment concerns on social issues during the turbulent decade of the 1960’s. In particular, Ali was a vocal supporter against the United States’ participation in the Vietnam War and racism in America.

“March to Protest War, Racism and Poverty” on Saturday, April 27 in San Francisco. Ali heads the list of speakers which include movie star Vanessa Redgrave and Black Panther co-founder Bobby Seale.
