Nepalese Visualization Texts

DATE
Century: 19th (1801-1900)

The test consists of verses which when recited should help the adept to construct mental visualization of the deities.

Our friend Janet Baker, Curator of Asian Art at the Phoenix Art Museum, commented, “My guess would be more Buddhist than Hindu, but the line is not always clearly drawn between the two. Someone who a read the script could say more. Lovely piece! In Himalayan Buddhism there is a merging of elements from both.”
