Order to Collect Tributes from Indigenous Peoples

Royal Order from the King of Spain to collect tributes by the Indians for the church. Signed by the Viceroy García Sarmiento de Sotomayor.The document notes there are 2518 Indian tributaries, which had to pay in cash and in maize.  The final section is the signature of every town that the document was sent, notifying that they are aware of the order to collect tributes; Received in the towns of Tecamachalco, Tlacotepeque, San Salvador el Seco and San Andres Chalchicomulas.
