Original Register of 104 Indentured Chinese

Original register officially published by the local government in Madruga municipality formerly located in Matanzas province, Cuba. It contains a detailed listing of 104 Chinese Colonos employed by various owners in Madruga during the year of 1871.

First page is titled Register #1 from Capitania del Partido de Mdruga. A register of all Chinese Colonos present in municipality of Madruga according to contracts and identification documents provided by the owners of each Colono according to the laws set forth by Political Governor. Date on the title page reads December 13, 1871.

Five pages of tables include very detailed information on every one of the 104 Chinese listed. Including; Name, Sex, Age, Marital Status, Contract Duration, Contract End Date, Name of the Owner, Profession and Original Place of Cuban Residence.

Last page is dated in Madruga on March 8, 1872 signed by Jose M. Cano with an ink stamp from local government in Madruga.
