The first painting depicts Japanese soldiers entering Mukden in Manchuria, dated March 15th of 1905.
The second painting depicts the Treaty of Portsmouth, dated September 5th, 1905.
The third painting depicts the meeting for the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, dated February 12th, 1905.
Scholar Sven Saaler commented, “Great stuff! Portsmouth depictions aren‘t necessarily that rare, but I have never seen these kind of paintings, rather woodblock prints and lithographs.”
