Japanese postcard to a prisoner of war: No. 51J-161158, Mr. Junzo Shimizu at Luzon POW Camp #2, Philippines, from his mother Shimizu Kikue of Saitama, Japan. She talks about her fear for his safety and tells him to be careful of diseases.

Scholar Sugihiko Uchida commented, “A moving letter, occupied with so many words, full of mother’s love.”
