Kamishibai poster dated June, just six months before the attack on Pearl Harbor, this set shows photos of American naval power in the region and mentions that America is building up its navy togo to war with Japan. There is a map of the Pacific with possible ways the US could attack Japan. These are apparently photos supplied by the Japanese government to prepare the Japanese people for the possibility of war. Since the government was already preparing plans for the attack on Pearl Harbor, this rare Kamishibai poster card set is one of the earliest and closest admission or sign of the coming war. These images of US naval might would not be shown again after Pearl Harbor. The set ends with the image of a Japanese warship with crew looking off into the Pacific toward America.
