Japanese propaganda Sugoroku Game dated at the start of the the Second Sino-Japanese War. Artwork by Masada Hiroshi with a map of the China Campaign on the reverse.

According to scholar Brian Bergstrom, “The top says it’s a supplement included in the boys’ magazine Shōnen Kurabu (Boy’s Club) 少年倶楽部 ( Volume 25, Number 12). The top also credits Nakamura Akihiko for the “planning” of the game; he was famous for creating inserts for Shonen Kurabu that could be folded into complicated 3D models.”
