Sephardic Jewish Organization “Esperanza” Pin

Year: 1910
Decade: 1910s
Century: 20th (1901-2000)

Enameled pin issued by “Esperanza”, the academic organization established for Sephardic Jews, this example being from Vienna.

This club’s main objective was to highlight members’ Sephardic origin. A Ladino library was established, but most of the students were forced to return to their native countries on the outbreak of World War I.
