An incomplete fragment of the beginning of very rare collection of sermons, translated into Nahuatl by brother Juan de Mijangos. The provincial head of the order, Fray Cristobal de Cayas has signed his name next to the printed name on the third leaf, he correctly spelled “Caias” with an “I” and elaborate serifs etc. Another brother [or early owner?] of this book has signed his name “Simon Perez Jimenez y Mendoza” above the woodcut of Saint Augustine. En Español: Primera parte del sermonario, dominical, y sanctoral, en lengua mexicana : contiene las Dominicas, que ay desde la Septuagesima, hasta la vltima de Penthecostes, platica para los que comulgan el iueues sancto, y Sermon de Passion, pasqua de Resurreccion, y del Espiritu santo, con tres sermosnes [sic] del sanctissimo sacrame[n]to.
