Sirat al-Azaliyya

DATE
Year: 1955
Decade: 1950s
Century: 20th (1901-2000)

According to scholar Noam Sienna, “This is a reprinting of a 19th-century Judeo-Arabic text in 20 booklets. It was printed in Jerusalem, and according to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book it was done ca. 1955.

The text itself was first published in Livorno between 1885 and 1887 by the Tunisian Jewish scholar Eliezer Farhi: titled “Sirat al-Azaliyya,” it is a retelling of the legendary account of the pre-Islamic king Sayf ibn Dhi-Yazan.”
