Chinese soft bound publication, “Strive for Peaceful Liberation of Taiwan,” is a collection of political cartoons and illustrations with explanatory text, covering the history and geography of Taiwan, the necessity for China to liberate the island, and decrying the American support enjoyed by the Nationalist Government of Taiwan.
Besides the typical unflattering depictions of American soldiers and politicians, the publication also features several more straightforward illustrations depicting human rights abuses and the loss of rights experienced by the Taiwanese population under Nationalist rule.
