CONDITION: Both covers are detached ,but the Bible itself is bound tightly and in decent condition with clean readable pages and strong binding, overall good condition for a book that is approx. 233 years old
NOTES: Here is a recent estate find from a Historic New England Estate. I am not sure if the title page is missing, but I did not see publishing info, but I believe this is an American Bible.

Sullivan Family Bible

18th Century Church Pulpit Lectern Bible. This was the type of Bible that was used by a priest or minister during church service or mass. The Spine is marked “HOLY BIBLE.” There is a handwritten date inside the front cover of 1777. There is also family history for the Sullivan family, which is difficult to read which starts dating at 1802 and continues to 1921. There is a “Halifax Quarterly Meeting of the Nova Scotia Philanthropic Society” receipt dated 1846 which was used as a bookmark.
