Ten Engravings by Julio Prieto Posadas

Julio Prieto Posadas worked as a scenery designer, producing over 500 plays. Although Julio Prieto never belonged to the Taller de Grafica Popular, he did collaborated in various project with them, especially in the decade of 1940. The reason he never joined them was most of all ideological. Prieto founded a similar group as the TGP called “Sociedad Mexicana de Grabadores”, that was more focused in the aesthetics – in turn, the TGP had a more political agenda.
