Summary of the Manuscript:
A Police Report on baptism of Chinese colono, with personal details listed as “Canton, 34, Godfather…”
There is much discussion as to whether he was baptized. Interestingly, the Police Chief writes in the church document that the baptism had occurred.
The lengthy investigation concludes that he was baptized in 1859. Accompanied by additional certification of the Police Chief that archives were properly searched.
