DIMENSIONS: Height of the taller figure is 18 1/2 inches ( 47 cm.). Height of the smaller figure is 14 inches (35.56 cm).
CONDITION: Each with wear as expected from age; the smaller figure with a repaired break at the narrowest part of the legs, and with some chips to the bottom edge and shallow chips to the body.

Larger male figure: acquired from Marc Richards, Los Angeles, November 3, 1999. The results of Oxford Authentication Ltd. Thermoluminescence Analysis report no. C199p86 is consistent with the dating of this figure.
Smaller female figure: acquired from Little River Oriental Antiques.

Two Chinese Painted Pottery Figures of Attendants

Comprising a male and a female, each figure depicted standing elegantly with hands held together across the waist concealed within the sleeves, dressed in draped, long robes with the hem flaring out, supported on a later stand.
