WWII Japanese propaganda photograph set issued by the Imperial Japanese Navy Department in the wake of the Battle of the Java Sea and other early Pacific campaigns in February 1942. The 12 photographs show scenes of the battle and the sinking of the HMS Exeter and other ships, as well as the sinking of the HMS Hermes, the HMS Cornwall, the HMS Dorsetshire, etc, all of which took place in February 1942. These are all early images issued by the Navy Department and still attached to the original back paper with government seals and paper insert explaining the images.
