On December 21st, the Melikian Collection participated in an auction of a portion of their collection at Vermot & Associes in Paris. Many special manuscripts, antiques and artifacts were included in the auction. The proceeds of this auction will be dedicated toward acquiring additional illuminated Eastern Christian, Middle Eastern Jewish, and Islamic manuscripts. It is hoped that the new acquisitions will be lent to museums of the next 30 years.
